| Hi Anneke, Thank you for your kind message, I feel the same way about your picture though.... Anyway...I just wish we had some time for the next contest to pick a really good picture to enter, I think it would make a big difference and there might be better pictures to enjoy if people had some time to carefully decide and choose! | Agree with your response... I love being an amateur photographer; it keeps my eye sharp and I see much more during both travel days and every-days. Winning the contest will not leave me richer; losing will not make me poorer. I generally give a 1 to photos that are not within the rules; a 2 to acceptably-executed, but unimaginative photos. a 9 or 10 to the "knockouts"; and 3 - 8 to everything inbetween. I try to comment whenever I can.. as help or good-cheer. Everyso often I get a bit testy, and I always regret it. The last thing I want to do is to discourage participation (as happened to me on Photosig, which was entirely too elitist for me). So...I own a camera, I use it, I write, I read, I respond, I laugh and (if it helps get a vote or two.. my 4 grandparents came from Kiev) Joel | ||
