| Saw much of Klimpt's work on my Budapest-Vienna-Prague trip a few years ago. It knocked me out! I use bits of it in my Photoshop efforts every so often. Nice to hear from you again. Joel This is my most recent "dabbling".... no Klimpt in these. http://public.fotki.com/JoMill/walking-out-of-a-poster/ | ||

| | Hey Girl... I hear those birds are highly intelligent!? I had a friend who had a beautiful Cockatoo, not so sure on the spelling... but that bird could mimic everything! It was really fascinating to be around that bird. There was also a thing on the Discovery about these big birds on their intelligence and how they need to be regularly stimulated. Peanuts in the shell so they can open them. Toys so they can keep their minds active. Different activities so they don't get bored. One woman had adopted a think a Cockatoo, and it had bad habits or problems of ripping at its feathers and the vet told her that the bird need stimulation to keep its mind active. IN the end she did what the vet told her and it worked, the bird totally turned around. Hey it was nice chatting with you, have a wonderful turkey day. Incase your a vegan, happy tofu day!! :) sunbean | |

| Anneke, It could be that you went to the more traditional west gate; Dr E is only depicted in the east gate. Thanks for your comment in the "doors and gates" contest! -David | ||

| That was a very sad story about your up close encounter with the grumpy TV. I'm not sure whether its a good thing that animals are kept in captivity for educational purposes. I was once told that at least they do not have to worry about predators and are taken care of... but are they really happy? If given the choice, wouldn't they really want their freedom? Its a hard question. Lets not think too hard on it and hope that your grumpy friend was just having a bad day! Thanks, sunbean | ||

| Thank you for your input on my photo, of the very ugly Turkey Vulture. I happen to love these birds and find them to be very interesting. It was actually exciting to get that close to such a fine speciman. It was also my second encounter this year... and I'm not sure what that means. Maybe its like having crows follow you around like death, but I sure hope not! Hey, also I understand how you feel about the contests... its hard to see that sometimes, someone who is more deserving, gets robbed of their points. Thanks for hearing me out. sunbean :) | ||

| | Hi Anneke, Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment about my photo 'Thistledown in the Sunshine' in the recent contest on Beauty. I appreciate it. http://public.fotki.com/MountainSnow/contest-photos/cards-sent/thistledownthankyou.html ~Snow~ | |

| Hi Anneke; You are most welcome for the comment I liked the shot. Many thanks for the two links and for explaining to me how you were able to take the photo in the "Beauty "contest. I had thought it must be hard to photograph one's self. It must of been fun too! I have a monopod which I really like as the ground seems to so uneven in places that I go, it works great. I heard of the second item before but had not found a link about. Again many thanks. Have a good week; Kelly:)) | ||

| Anneke, Dr. Evil has been laying low since Mrs. Evil had her unfortunate, but believable, accident. All but one of the avatars in the Fotkipus albums were created by me. (The exception was Viviane’s, and in all the hysteria, I don’t recall how that happened.) I tried to feature the other designers in the video ( http://video.fotki.com/drib/29284/ ), but I suspect that I didn’t see your design until later. Now that I have your implied permission, I will gladly add it to the Fotkipus collection. Thanks! -David PS. I haven’t had time to comment on the most recent contests, but I did see your self-portrait, and thought you did a wonderful job with that. | ||

| Irony. Don't you love it - people in glass houses throwing stones!! I'm a terrible tease, and consequently I get the heck teased out of me. Someone was apologising to me yesterday at Church for a good "get" her daugher had on me, but I laughed and said if I didn't enjoy being teased back I sure wouldn't dish it out!! " I am a martyr to my own saintliness" LOVE IT!!! People often remark that my own halo can often be seen to slip a little bit!! | ||
