Hi Anneke
I thought your photo was lovely - I have the same problem with foregrounds, sometimes I have managed to lighten the whole thing which does help. Good luck with your pic. Thanks for your vote for my effort.

Hi Anneke,
Did you mean a Canon contest? We have one here in Holland...but I thought it was only for Belgium and Holland???
Good luck, I love the picture, it looks like a very old one and is very stylish!
I am about to choose one myself too for a contest, I will tell you when I have made my series so you can suggest which one to use,ok?

Hi there
Thanks for the info on your mum - I am always interested in people's history. Next time I am in Dumfries I will let you know so your mum can see the photos.....

Hi Anneke
Thank you for sending me the link to your new photos, very nice, and please congratulate Mum - it is that good Scots blood that keeps her going..where was she born? Seriously I hope she had a really nice birthday.

Hi Anneke,
Just wanted to congratulate you with your mum's birthday!
I was thinking about my mother...she died 35 years ago at the age of 45...on june 11th...tomorrow 35 years ago.
I'll have a nice glass of red wine instead of Birthday cake!
Enjoy your mum's presence...

Hi Anneke,
Oh no, I was not thinking at all! LOL
You can use my rainbow pictures if you like them...I am happy when you enjoy them!
I know Randy's work, I keep in touch with him every now and then! I think he is a very nice person and a very talented photographer...I wish I had a bit of his talent to be honest!!!
I have been to Rotterdam Zoo yesterday with my family...I was looking forward to it but it was a bit disappointing. We had a great day but the animals were very far away, and they had lots of shelter under trees etc. Good for them and I can only be happy for that but for taking pictures it is very hard! I had to use my zoom all the time...some pictures are really grainy and as my tripod is broken and sent back to the shop I had to take the shots free hand!
Quality is not very good, a few are nice I guess and the rest I keep just for fun! It was a very very bright and suynny day and I had to deal with shadows constantly...
I will keep you informed when I posted them, ok?
Thanks for visiting!
Viviane

Hi there
I loved your photo in the contest, sorry it did not do better, possibly because it was hard to see - I loved the story behind it, and that got my vote.

a double! I took this one approx. 2 weeks ago! I was a bit late though...had to look for the camera and it had the macro tube on...took a while! so the brightest colours were gone! :(
