| | Gidday Anneke, Thanks for dropping in, that guy was very young. I left a message in his gb to suggest that he should critique photos in the Critique Me blog where people are looking for critique, instead of the general contests, but he got quite uppity, and wouldn't take any advice and now I see he's deleted his account. Very sensitive for someone who dished out some prettty mean comments. Cheers Peter | |

| Thankyou for your comment on my photo. It was nice of you to be concerned about the mould, but actually I was quite a long way away. The zoom lens and picasa's crop feature are wonderful things! Best regards and thanks again Glyn | ||

| Hey all you globetrotters, check this out and make one of your own. Mine's only a teeny one. Some fotkins like Gary will have massive ones - he's visited 22% of the planet!! If you don't mind, I'd like to make an album of snapshots of each of your travels as at August 2007. If you want to participate, follow the link here: http://journals.fotki.com/Pedro23/travel-map/ make your own map, then take a print screen of it and either email it to me (pedro23@fotki.com) or guest book me the url & I'll print screen it.

| Hi Anneka Thanks for your comment on my horses in Washington entry, in reply to the comment by Drib. I found it most interesting; I saw the horses and photographed them, and they were appropriate for the contest as obviously working, but knew none of the background to it. They do look like Canadian Mounties, don't they? Thanks again. Hope you are having sunshine in your life. Slainte Myra | ||

| Anneke, The happiest place on earth on the outside is also one of the most fascist from the inside. I used to work for Warner Brothers in Burbank, and the Disney Studio was just across the street. There were always people going back and forth between studios, and the word was that they were very difficult to work for. They’re reputation for aggressively protecting their characters extended to art on nursery school and day care walls. So good luck trying to get their ear over the RCMP deal! Elsewhere . . . it’s nice to see you’re still embracing the Fotkipus brand. Maybe someday Disney will buy me out, and then you’ll pay dearly for that. -David Oh, and thanks for your comment on my entry! http://public.fotki.com/drib/2/a/2/animalsatworkthankyou.html | ||

| Gidday Anneke, I'm writing to you because I found your name in Fred Martel's friends list. Fred is not well & unlikely to improve. He is on a waiting list for a continuous care facility, but they aren't sure how long it will be before a room becomes available for him. I'm not sure if he is still able or well enough to access his fotki site so wondered if you would be kind enough to send him a card? His wife thinks he would be very pleased to receive cards from his Fotki friends. The present address to send them to is: Fred Martel c/o Glenrose Hospital Unit 4D 10230 - 111 Avenue Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T5G 0B7 Cheers Peter | ||

| I can't leave comments in the contest for some reason. This is what I tried to leave on your entry: I thought the kids are supposed to enjoy these rides! So what if the photo's not technically perfect? Many of us take photos to record the memories of the great experiences we have! This is a beauty, great expressions, perfect for the contest, well done. Good luck Anneke! Peter | ||

| Cool - you have a real first name, Anneke - I didn't know that. From the little you described, your family vacations sound way better than mine! -David | ||

| Oh –no – vacations with the Evil family are quite awful. Uncle Austin and Uncle Evil always trying to assassinate each other – who needs that! Thanks for your comment. -David http://public.fotki.com/drib/2/a/2/familyfunthankyou.html | ||

| | Dear Anneke I've just been through your most recent album. How very impressive :). I have some albums up I know you'll enjoy ... We've uploaded some extraordinary albums of our weekend getaway last weekend to the Bay of Fundy area in the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia. Presently there are 5 new albums (more to come). There is an incredible beach called Blue Beach that contains cliffs (capes) that range in height from 30 ft.(9.1m), to 100 ft. (30.5m), fossils that date back 300 to 400 million years ago, the path to and from the beach, and the tidal bore photos - a phenomenon unique to this area in the whole of North America. We'll let you know when we've uploaded the photos of Halls Harbour - a romantic and picturesque harbour village where the tide rises up to 55 ft. (17m) at high tide and plunges to 2 ft. (0.609m) at low tide. Every day, twice a day, ships and boats sit idle at the bottom of the harbour's floor awaiting the next tide before they can go out to sea again. It's really something to see and it was featured in National Geographic magazine 3 times. Come see and please feel free to leave comments. Rich and Barb. | |

| Hi Anneke, I just read Myra's comment and she is so right! Nobody seemed to value the old pictures in my family and they all went for the antiques and other stuff...I don't like clutter very much so I always take a small item people have been wearing or were especially attached to and the photographs are always taken with me of course! I must not even think of them being thrown away... So...thank you very much for letting me know, I am looking forward to seeing more of the pictures...sounds like great fun! :) Nice job for you and mum to find out all the details...will keep you off the streets for a while ;) Viviane | ||

| Hi Anneke What joy to find something as valuable as old photographs. I had a look at the two pictures you have loaded, they are great....... I wonder if you will be able to date at least some of them, mum should be able to help here I should imagine. I would appreciate if you let me know when you have them loaded, although I will try to remember to check back. Thanks for letting me know, I think old photographs are much more valuable than 'stuff', don't you. You have a fascinating family background, on both sides. I feel quite ordinary, just Scottish!!! | You know, I had thought about taking Dr E on location to the beach, but decided that I could never get the scale right. So I used a bit of movie magic instead. What is interesting about the beach backdrop – and I didn’t realize it until after I took the Dr Evil shot – was that I’m also in the photo. In the center of the backdrop, there’s a woman sitting – that’s my wife, Penny. I’m lying next to her on the left, and then my middle son to my left. -David | ||

| Dr E appreciates your concern for his health. Yes, that white stuff is sunscreen - SPF 1, which is very hard to find and needs to be applied generously every 10 seconds or so. Thanks for your comment in the beach contest! -David http://public.fotki.com/drib/2/a/2/beachthankyou.html | ||
