Just had a peep at your albums again, loved your family album, love old photos, they tell such stories, don't they.

In Holland both Annie and Anneke are very common names. Both come from Johanna (of course), and Anneke means 'little Annie'... In Holland other derivations of Johanna are also very popular: Hanna, Hannie and, like Anneke: Hanneke.
You might like to watch the shots of my wife's birthday (album: Korrie 54 jaar). The PW is dekok. You can watch two Anneke's there and one Hanneke (my daughter).

Have just come upon your albums as one of your photos came up on the Shared photos series.

I have looked at your trim to Nova Scotia et al with your mum, and found it to be really interesting, your shots are really good, and you have told the story of your trip well in pictures. My own daughter did a similar trip from Scotland last year and really enjoyed it, and at one time my husband and I lived for a year in Montreal, and four years in Ontaria, so it was nice to come upon your site.
