| What an interesting story Anneke! I am impressed that the cards are still around and in fairly good shape. I am sure they would be of great interest to the airman's family - like a little time capsule! | ||

| Hi Anneke, what a lovely story and interesting album The Polish Airman is! I bet you are excited! Isn't it great to be able to trace people, connections and emotions from so long ago! I wish you luck with further investigations! Viviane | ||

| Hi Mudhooks, *************** With the new system, after voting, my photo cannot be viewed along with all the entries. I can only see it by clicking on "My Entries". Is there a reason for this? ********************** That's a good question. I've sent it to the developers. Talla | ||

| | Hiya Thanks for your comment in our guestbook. We use photoshop quite a bit. There's no difference in using PS and using a high end camera. Even at that, PS only helps where filters (or lack thereof) fail to capture what's really there. I think most people use some tools to crop, highlight, tone down, brighten up, or a host of other uses that make photos POP. There was one comment on the blog that said: " I decrease points for people who don't use PS or some kind of tool where needed." Go with what you like and if it pleases you, it will please others too :). Barb. | |

| I invite you all to watch http://maldives.johnvanhulst.nl This site shows the photos and videos my wife Korrie made during her Scuba Diving stay at the Maldives Islands, November 2006. It's a Dutch language site, but as there is hardly any text, I guess you can find your way around. The Maldives are located in the Indian Ocean, to the South of India, just above the equator. They are famous for their underwater sea life. I bought a Fuji F30 for her, of course with an underwater housing :-), just before she left. The F30 got rave reviews everywhere, it's the best compact camera by large margins in it's price class. The video you see on this site was originally shot at 640 * 480, 30 fps with sound (yes, you can hear her talk underwater Dutch -a rare Dutch dialect- sometimes!), the photos are 6.3 megapixel originally. The home page shows a selection of all photos, presented as a Flash slideshow (you all know I always present it this way... :-)). Korrie will love it if you sign the Dutch guestbook! Cheers, John P.S. Your guess is right:: I made the website... | ||

| Anneke, I have just been looking at your Heroes album....... it is very interesting, and it took me to some historical information on Native Canadians and the world wars. You might be interested to know that at the end of 2006, Great Britain has finally paid off its monetary war debt to Canada and the U.S.A. We have paid virtually all of my life (I was born in 1940). Have a great year. xMyra | ||
